Description
2nd-18th century AD. A mixed group of artefacts comprising: one late Roman bow brooch, one silver ring with D-section hoop; one gilt cufflink; one bronze ring brooch with incised line-and-dot decoration, pin absent; one bronze ring with D-section hoop, rectangular bezel, incised cross and line decoration to the shoulders; decorative sword-hanger mount with opposing scallop shells and dragon heads; a gilt bronze double fleur-de-lys mount with pin and stud to the reverse; small bronze phallic(?) brooch, catch and pin-lug to the reverse; one bronze openwork heart pendant with central star, radiating fleur-de-lys decoration to the outer edge; one bronze ring with linear decoration; three William III sixpences; one William III 1697 shilling, Chester mint; one Nuremberg 'Alphabet' jeton. 49 grams total, 20-56mm (3/4 - 2").
