2nd century A.D. and later. A mixed group of eight artefacts comprising: a Roman trumpet brooch; a medieval lead spindle whorl decorated with raised lines and pellets; a post medieval domed fitting with central hole; a finger ring with foliate motifs to the arms, set with a lapis lazuli stone with stylised bee intaglio; a dress hook in the form of a snake; a pierced Elizabethan threepence dated 157(?); post medieval finger rings, each with flat-section hoops, one engraved with foliate motifs, the other with a geometric design, one broken along resize line. 88 grams total, 18-46 mm (3/4 - 1 3/4 in.) Found by John Harrison whilst searching with a metal detector in Lancashire or Cumbria, UK. [8, No Reserve]
