Author: Tibor de Cholnoky, M.D. - Dr. de Cholnoky, who was born in Hungary, held medical degrees from the University of Paris and the University of Budapest. He came to the United States in 1932. He was a diplomate of the American Boards of Surgery and Plastic Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Academy of Medicine. Dr. de Cholnoky, practiced in Greenwich and had been a consultant at the United Hospital in Port Chester, N.Y.; St. Joseph's Hospital, Stamford, Conn., and Stamford Hospital.

Book Details: This very scarce medical volume is bound in blue cloth with gilt spine title. Eighteen reprinted articles written by Dr. Cholnoky, a pioneering plastic surgeon, are bound in this volume. Three articles, and a card reading: “To my patroness/a merry Christmas and a happy New Year/with many thanks/Tibor/Dec-‘45†are laid in.
Condition / Notes: This vintage volume shows well, with minimal indications of age and wear, including mild shelfwear. The binding and text block are sound. Text and illustrations remain clear and crisp through mild age toning.
