Seven Wedgwood blue transfer-printed "Ivanhoe"-pattern dinner plates, circa 1880, after designs by Thomas Allen done for the book by Sir Walter Scott, comprising three "Friar Tuck Entertains the Black Knight," two "Rebecca Repelling the Templar," and one each "Ivanhoe and Rowena" and "Wamba and Garth the Swineherd," in the border the characters of Rebecca, Lady Rowena, and Isaac of York interspersed with fish, fowl, game, and foliage, all impressed on the undersides "Wedgwood," six further blue-stamped with "Ivanhoe / Wedgwood / Etruria England," one with a 2015 Doyle Auction House sticker. 10.25" diameter.
