Nine Wedgwood plates, with three from the 19th century: Two late-19th century (ca. 1878) Wedgwood Ivanhoe Flow Green Glazed Dinner Plates, depicting Rebecca Repelling the templar, Sir Brian de Bois-Guilbert, with other Ivanhoe characters around the border. Green Transferware (Flow Green). This pattern, based on the characters from Sir Walter Scott's novel of the same name, was designed by Wedgwood's art director, Thomas Allen in the late 1800's. It was taken to the Paris Exhibition of 1878 and was very popular. One late-19th century ca. 1878 Wedgwood Ivanhoe Flo Blue Glazed Dinner Plate, depicting The Black Knight and Friar Tuck, with other Ivanhoe characters around the border. Blue Transferware Flow Blue. This pattern, based on the characters from Sir Walter Scott's novel of the same name, was designed by Wedgwood's art director, Thomas Allen in the late 1800's. The Victorians enjoyed a very romantic and idealized view of the medieval period that this pattern so beautifully portrays.=; Country of Origin: England
