The work was acquired directly from the artist Jackson Pollock by his friend Theodore Wahl who was a lithograph creator from New Jersey. Mr. Wahl has a recognized collection of original prints and an original drawing by Pollock. The drawing was authenticated by the Jackson Pollock Estate and is in the catalog raisonne of his works. Also, Mr. Wahl's print archive is recognized by the Pollock Estate and has been lent to museums including Yale University.
