Description
This is a very nice map of today's Canada, Alaska and Greenland then first two labeled as British Possessions and Russian Possessions. Today's British Columbia and Yukon are called New Georgia. Regions that make up today's Northwest Territory and Alberta are labeled Mackenzie River, Peace River, Athabasca, English River, Lesser Slave Lake, and Churchill in this map. Northern Canada and Greenland are yet to be fully explored. Plenty of details are offered as to topography, rivers, lakes, cities and towns, etc. Color-coded political subdivions. The Colton decorative border is yet to appear. From the first edition, second issue of Colton's General Atlas.
