Book Details: This handsome eight-volume antique decorative set is bound in brown cloth with bright gilt lettering and ornamental designs to the leather spines and front covers. The volumes have edges tinted red and marbled endpapers. This work is profusely illustrated with plates (photogravures, wood engravings and typogravures) with labeled tissue-guards. There are also numerous textual illustrations.
Condition / Notes: These decorative antique volumes show well with some typical indications of age and wear, including rubbing to the spines, minor cracking to the spine edges and minor loss at the outside corners of the boards. The bindings are firm. The pages are clean and without markings. There is writing by previous owners to the front endpapers.
