A-019 Original Adolf Hitler scarce pattern, silver punch bowl ladle. Quality squared-off pattern slightly curled handle base with stylized "A H" engraved initials. (unusual - with the "A" having a double right leg and the "H" having the left leg at an angular position and the right leg at the opposite angle.) Quality made and hallmarked with a crescent, crown, eagle and "800". 12 1/2". Weight 9 oz. (This particular piece was part of a grouping of silverware actually taken from the personal quarters of the Berghof. Employees and local town people began to loot the bombed buildings and silverware was carried off. Because of the danger of being caught with this material, it was hidden away, and sometime later sold to a member of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Assoc. After he passed away, his widow decided to dispose of this material. The above listed ladle, and other items were sold in Mohawk Arms Auction 19 on October 13, 1990.) II+
