A LARGE EARLY 20TH CENTURY GERMAN SILVER PUNCH BOWL AND LADLE, C. 1900
the antique Art Nouveau period, solid silver punch bowl and ladle raised on four spreading scroll feet, decorated throughout with floral motifs and applied with unusual flowing handles. Engraved in Cyrillic on one side “To the great founder of life, dear Pavel Nikolaevich Shatilov, Officers of the Chernamorsk (Black Sea), Kozak Army, Kokan, Turkey " and on the other the ranks and names of the soldiers who gave him this gift (...). Hallmarked German Silver (900 Standard), year 1900, Maker Gustav Memmert (M), (active in Berlin, 1890-1930), also with Russian import mark (used 1908-1917).
