Moorcroft Eighteenth Century pattern biscuit jar with silver-plate lid.
The flat cover chased with cloverleaf motif with swing bail handle above a tapering cylindrical body with ribbon-tied floral garlands of classic swage of Roses and Forget-Me-Nots on an ivory ground. Flowers in red and blue.
Painted green signature with impressed Macintyre mark.
Dimensions: 6.6 in. hgt. x 6.6 in. dia.
Condition: good original estate condition, no cracks or repairs, viewed under black light.
Provenance: Greenwich, CT Estate.
