Cyprus, Middle Bronze Age, ca. 2000 to 1650 BCE. A tall and delicate ceramic pouring vessel with a rounded base, a spherical body, a tubular neck, and an arching, bifurcated strap handle, all covered in a lovely red-orange slip. A slender, curving spout projects from the neck, and a slender tubular spout protrudes upwards from the midpoint of the body. The body is adorned with a pair of molded sinuous forms with forked ends and stippled bodies, with similar stippling stamped onto both halves of the handle. The front of the taller displays a zigzag motif with a small circle at every corner. Lucite ring display stand included. Size: 4.5" W x 9.25" H (11.4 cm x 23.5 cm); 9.875" H (25.1 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Vessel repaired from several large pieces with some resurfacing, overpainting, and light restoration along break lines. Surface wear and abrasions commensurate with age, small chips to both spouts, handle, neck, and body, with fading and chipping to pigmentation. Light earthen and mineral deposits throughout.
