Book Details: This is an antique facsimile of a c1607 miniature Betbuechlein, prayer book, encased in another book.
This facsimilia of Viennese printer Ludwig Bonnoberger's famous prayer book is bound in buff cloth with interwoven silver threads with gilt and gauffered page edges. This unique work was presented to a gathering of bibliophiles at the Imperial Court Library in September 1912.

The miniature Austrian book, measuring approx. 1" x 1.25", is housed in a scooped-out compartment at the back of a larger volume bound in olive green pebbled cloth with gilt spine lettering. The German text on 22 pages of larger volume discusses the details of Bonnoberger's tiny prayer book and miniature books in general. It includes notes from the Hofkammer Archive and a bibliography.

Condition / Notes: This is a fine antique miniature volume housed inside a larger book. The miniature is is bound in buff cloth with interwoven silver threads and has gilt pages edges. The larger volume shows nicely, bound in pebbled cloth with gilt lettering on the spine.

The boards of the miniature facsimile volume are partly detached at the spine.
