Important Anthony Rasch 19th C American Silver Tea Pot. 19th century American coin silver by well known silversmith Anthony Rasch, examples of his work can be seen in the American Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Born in Bavaria, Germany Anthony Rasch von Tauffkirchen (ca.1780-1858) settled in Philadelphia (Active there 1804-1820) and was a silversmith and merchant. Marked on the bottom ANTY RASCH. Measures 7.5 x 11 x 5 inches. Weighs approximately 37.3 standard ounces total.
