Description
18th-19th Century. Antique hand-wrought Spanish Colonial silver serving tray dating to the late 18th or 19th century. Mexican or South American. Oval shallow bowl form decorated with repousse flowers, a beaded inner border and raised scrollwork designs at the rim. Annealing marks visible on the front and reverse surfaces, in places.
Unmarked. Silver, but exact content undetermined.

PROVENANCE: Los Angeles collection.
CONDITION: Tarnish and with old wear and scratches. Old spot repairs to small splits at the indents to the rim scrollwork and elsewhere.
