Detailed history of Los Angeles at the time the "Boom of the Eighties" was turning the land from sleepy cattle country to a burgeoning cluster of orchards, aqueducts and other trappings of civilization. Contains many biographical sketches of pioneers and developers. Adams, Six-Guns 1364; Rocq 2650. Newspaper clipping affixed to front pastedown.

Condition

Light wear, rubbing at spine ends and corners; light foxing to plates, occasional stains within; very good or better.
