Description
An early Iron Age ceramic pitcher from the Holy Land, c. 1500 -1000 BC, the body with wide rounded shoulders tapering to a narrow flat foot, short neck with trefoil pouring spout and single strap handle. 5 3/8 x 6 in (13.6 x 15.2 cm). A pleasing example with heavy earthen and mineral deposits. Ex Malter Galleries, CA.
