Description
An Egyptian copper mirror, c. 1st Intermediate, c. 2181 - 2055 BC, elliptical in shape with short tang, nicely patinated. 6 3/8 x 6 3/8 in (16.3 x 16.3 cm). Areas of corrosion. Cf. Petrie Objects of Daily Use (Oxford, 1927), p. 32 & pl. xxviii, no. 35 for an identical example from an Old Kingdom tomb at Qau; Ex Orange County private collection.
