Description
French Porcelain Baluster Vase, 19th c., with a long tapered gilt decorated neck and everted rim, over a reserve of sheep in a meadow on one side, and lovers in a garden on the other, separated by applied octagonal gilt handles, to a gilt decorated socle support on a square pale blue gilt decorated base, on four paw feet, H.- 15 in., W.- 5 1/2 in., D.- 5 1/2 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Wear to gilt evident on both handles and along the outer edges. Approx. 1/16” chip with loss of paint in sheep portrait. Surface dirt and residue present throughout. Would benefit from a cleaning. A lovely example.
