PRESSED MUZZLED BEAR LARGE-SIZE JAR, deep amethyst, embossed "PHALON & SON / NEW YORK" under the base. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1850-1887. 5 1/8" HOA, 1 7/8" D rim.
Base rim with a 1/2" wide overall V-shape chip and normal flaking/mold roughness, chip to underside of one foot not affecting the profile, cover with a chip to reverse of one ear, not affecting the profile, chip to collar, and normal chipping/flaking to underside.
