Description
A Chinese famille rose porcelain footed compote bowl, c.19th century Qing Dynasty. The bowl raised on a tall flaring foot pedestal. Decorated with overglaze enamels, the exterior of the bowl depicts a variety of flowers and foliage. The pedestal portion depicting stylized waves of grass. The interior decorated with a pomegranate. Measures 4.75" diameter, 3.75" high.
CONDITION: no adverse condition issues.
PROVENANCE: Ex. collection of General Joseph Warren Stilwell (1883-1946) via his grandson, son of Winifred Stilwell Cox (daughter of General Stilwell).
