Description
Three Chinese enamel porcelain dish plates. Qing Dynasty. Scalloped edge plates, decorated with overglaze famille rose, iron-red and verte enamels. Each with flowers, fruits, foliage and Chinese symbols. The undersides decorated with bats. The underside of one plate bears in overglaze iron red, an apocryphal 6-character Ming Dynasty, Chenghua reign mark. The additional two plates bearing in overglaze iron red, Qing Dynasty, Xianfeng reign marks. Each measuring approximately 7.5" diameter, 1.25" high.

Provenance, ex. collection Ethel Roosevelt Derby, (daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt). Consigned by her granddaughter.
