A NAPOLEON III SÉVRES STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED PARCEL GILT ENAMELED BLUE CELESTE PORCELAIN DESK ENCRIER, MID 19TH CENTURY, the central putti figure upholds a reservoir and stands on a lily pad supported on a pedestal with rams' head masks over splayed feet, flanked by two seated putti for use as pen holders, the dish with four gilt foliate framed reserves, the ends painted with flower bloom sprays, centering two putti figures dressed as allegories winter and spring, the edge mounted with acanthus leaf bound reeds, flanked by scrolled handles topped by seated nymphs, draped in flower garlands, the whole raised on relief shell and scroll feet, joined by a repeating relief stretcher and flower garland swag, verso signed in green, "Rihouet a Paris." The dish likely a piece of a larger collection, which is now separated, some surface soil, patina, repair to central figure, with pierced foot exposing screw, gilt rubbing, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
