AN IMARI ENAMELED PORCELAIN YAKATABUNE BOAT FORM COVERED DISH, MEIJI (1868-1912) PERIOD, the handle of bamboo form, over a lid in the form of a roof, painted with a Buddhist wheel form and flowers, over a base with like motif, flanked by underglaze blue painted waves, verso a red Ashikaga clan style family mon. Height: 3 1/2" Width: 6 1/4" Depth: 4 5/8"
Condition
A kiln crack at base, some mild surface wear, rubbing of gilt and enamel, mild soil, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
