Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A rather unique, double-spool shaped blackware vessel, the upper section decorated with three pairs of round seed-like forms at the perimeter, the jar as a whole perhaps depicting a grand earspool befitting of a noble or shaman. Size: 3.875" W x 3.5" H (9.8 cm x 8.9 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Harvey Collection, acquired prior to 1972
