Description
Byzantine Empire, Heraclius with Heraclius Constantine, 610 to 641 CE. Struck 616 to 625 CE. Gold solidus. Obverse: busts facing of Heraclius, bearded and of Heraclius Constantine, both wearing chlamys and crown with cross on circlet; between their heads, cross. Reverse: VICTORIA - AVGYI, in exergue, CONOB, Cross potent on base and three steps. Heraclius Constantine was coemperor with his father, Heraclius, from 613 and with his brother Heraclonas from 638.
