Early Renaissance style Italian Old Master painting of a Haloed Saint reading a book. Oil on thick panel. Framed. Sight size: 16" x 9". Overall size: 21" x 14". Panel gilt on reverse. Consigned by the Grandson of George Alfred Chapman who was born on May 25, 1871 in Akron, Ohio. He was principal of the American cereal Co. and when taken over by Quaker Oats Company in 1896, he became a vice president. He lived in Oak Park, IL where he covered the walls of his home with European and American art.
