Description

QIANLONG BLUE AND WHITE VASE WITH BRONZE MOUNTS:
Blue and white vase with a wave border at the top over a plantain and diapered border. The shoulder has a flower and tendril border. The body of the vase has geometric reserves of flowers and tendrils. The bottom has a lotus petal border over a tendril border. There are gilt bronze mounts at the top, handles, and base in curvilinear floral patterns. Stands on four claw feet. Qianlong six character reign mark underglazed on bottom, Qing Dynasty. Bronze mounts are later additions, probably European.

Provenance: Local antique collector. Vase has a seal, and several stickers from various antique purveyors.
