Very sweet 9-1/2" doll with blue glass sleep eyes, pierced earlobes, plump cheeks and closed mouth, incised in the back of head "989". She is on the original early German wood and composition body with joints at elbows, shoulders, hips and knees with straight wrists and slightly cupped fingers with separated thumbs. The lovely clothing is made of antique materials but is most likely redressed in the 1900 style with matching hat. The wig is antique blond mohair with center part over the original plaster pate, and detached. Depending on the source, one can find this doll attributed to both Simon & Halbig and to "ABG". She has possible break and good re-glue to thumb on left hand. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: Height: 10 - 1/4".CORRECTION: Repaint to composition arms.
