Description
HASHIGUCHI GOYO was one of the most famous and admired Japanese woodblock artists of 20th century. Often called the Taisho Utamaro, Goyo published this masterful reprint as part of an homage to his Edo era predecessors in 1916 when he supervised the printing of 12 volumes called "Japanese Color Prints". These are indisputably among the finest ukiyo-e reprints ever made, adhering to production standards so high that they truly distinguish themselves from lesser editions. The prints from Goyo's "Japanese Color Prints" series are considered some of the rarest and most valuable reprints on the market.
