PENNSYLVANIA EMBROIDERED CRAZY QUILT PILLOW CASE, elaborate decorative stitching and "THIS IS FOR EVA ALISON, MAdE BY / HUR (sic) AUNT AM FARNSWORTH / 91YO", and "1909", satin backing. 18 1/2" x 17 1/2".
Very good condition with wear and losses primarily confined to outer edges.
Provenance: From the 50-plus year collection of the late Joan M. Wentz, Germansville, PA.
Catalogue Note: Probably made by Anna M. Farnsworth who was living with her daughter in Antis Township, PA in 1910. She was recorded as 91 years old and "Needle Work" as her occupation.

Condition

Very good condition with wear and losses primarily confined to outer edges.
