Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle's Personally Owned Bowler Hat Acquired From Buster Keaton From The Joe Franklin Memory Lane Collection W/Notarized LOA - This black bowler hat was personally owned by American silent film actor, comedian, director, and screenwriter Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. Arbuckle was a mentor of Charlie Chaplin, and discovered Buster Keaton and Bob Hope. He was one of the most popular silent stars of the 1910s, and soon became one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, signing a contract in 1920 with Paramount Pictures for $1 million. This hat was acquired from the collection of legendary American radio and television personality Joe Franklin, and will be accompanied by a notarized letter of authenticity which states that he was gifted the hat personally by Arbuckle's co-actor and friend Buster Keaton, who was a personal friend of Franklin and appeared on his television show on at least six occasions.
