Carved Chinese jade lidded vase. Of baluster form, with compressed ovoid body with faceted corners, gracefully tapered upward prominent waisted neck toward banded gallery mouth. Two archaic tiger mask carved out from the neck suspending free ring. The domed lid crowned with simply round bud finial. The main body decorated in carving reliefs of symmetrical archaic lines simulating two dragons in pursuits of centralized flaming pearl. The neck and lid carved with repeating tropical leaves motif. Jade stone is pristine with a greyish-celadon iridescence and creamy off-white coloration, with attractive sporadic golden russet arrangement of natural inclusions, moist slicky appearance.
