Great antique hand crank music box from the American Automatic Organ Co. from 1881. To play music the roll would be fed through the front and you would crank the ornate cast iron handle with wooden knob. The 16 key organette would play the music as you fed the roll through. The bellows underneath appear to have been replaced and no air leaks can be heard. The case appears to be walnut with beautiful stenciled gold details throughout. Below the keys, the name of this little organ appear to have been hand carved into the wood. The curved glass front over the keys is missing and the top has been replaced and is loose. As noted, the bellows appear to have been replaced as well as leather under the metal patent strip. Measures approx 110 1/2" x 8 1/4" x 8"
