Description
An Egyptian faience head of pharaoh, Ptolemaic, c. 332 - 30 BC, wearing nemes head cloth decorated with vertical black stripes and uraeus. His features are handsomely modeled with remnants of light green glaze. 2 1/2 x 3 in (6.4 x 7.6 cm). Mottled deposit, black lucite block base. Ex collection of Anne Spivak, an important figure in the Detroit art scene between the 1960's-1990's.
