Description
This great-looking handbill was used to promote a benefit for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in November 1966. In addition to the Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service, James Cotton also played. Black Panther leader Stokely Carmichael, who was the head of SNCC at the time, made a guest appearance. As both an early Grateful Dead piece and an early Fillmore item, this piece is always in demand.
