A Inca stirrup vessel, Peru, ca. 800 - 1425 A.D. having a bulbous body and squared stirrup type vessel, with perforated lug. Painted cream body bands on an orange ground, some faded black resist geometric decoration. Dimensions: 8" H x 4-3/4" dia.; Weight: 12.4 oz. Provenance: Ex. collection R. Schulhor, New York.
Condition
Some minor spout rim roughness and a tiny drilled hole, filled, in the center of the body, otherwise intact.
