Two Nazca Polychrome Bowls
c. 400-600 AD
One, a truncated "kero" type with upper band of repeated motif of half a human head in alternating colors, a narrower band below with repeated mouth and tongue motif also in alternating colors. In apparently very good, intact condition, minor surface losses on rim. The other, with two one-eyed Oculate Beings seeming to grasp a human head in hairy claws or beaks, each trailing a layered mane or body with three human heads and panache. In good condition, repaired from several large pieces.
