AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART PORTRAIT OF A LADY, oil on canvas, she with elaborate bonnet, lace collar, and brooch, no signature located. Housed in a period molded giltwood frame. Circa 1830. 29" x 23" sight, 37 1/4" x 31 1/4" OA.
Portrait with moderate craquelure throughout, minor surface losses and abrasions. Scattered moderate inpainting to background and figure's face, hair, bonnet, and dress. Frame with minor wear.
