ENGLISH HISTORICAL SEVENTEENTH CENTURY LITERATURE VOLUMES, LOT OF TWO, comprising James Howard's, "The English Mounsieur: A Comedy, As it is Acted, at the Theater-Royal, By His Majesty's Servants", 1674, printed by H. Bruges for J. Magnus, London, lacking original wraps, currently in modern cardstock sleeve; and "The Misery of Civil-War: a Tragedy as it is Acted at the Duke's Theatre" written by Mr. Crown, London, 1680, likely cut down and rebound with the front page having the name of Thomas Ludelle.
The first example lacking wraps/boards as described, interior remarkably clean, very legible, expected toning, some scattered minor foxing, some expected creases/dog-ear corners, title page and following page detached but present, having some minor tears to binding edge, some minor losses to one or two pages, lacking pages 35-38 (UPDATED 6/21/18); the second example with some insect damage to several pages in the front and back, likely cut down and rebound as noted, expected toning and some stains to interior and exterior binding.
