The factory polishing and lines of the 42mm titanium case are just super sharp. The case is fitted to a titanium unidirectional rotating bezel, which is simply a pure work of art. The black ceramic insert is pristine and just flows with the rotating ring, you can just feel the precision in every click!!
The black dial with it’s luminous hands and index hour markers is decidedly utilitarian, you can see Tudor was not trying to impress but rather make the most legible dial possible. Even the beveled minute markers around the outer rim we thought out to give divers maximum visibility.
With a waterproof rating to 500 m (1,640 ft), the Pelagos is fitted with helium valve. The valves functions as a decompression device so that superfluid gases that penetrate the case while performing dives in hyperbaric environments can escape during the rise to the surface.
