Amicable letter from Shaw to fellow playwright William Saroyan, discussing the writing life and works in progress: "Thanks for your generous airplane-letter about Night, Birth and Opinion. I suppose you know as well as anyone how fine it is to get a letter like that...about making a play out of it..I suppose it could be done, but I have so many other projects already outlined (plays, novels, short stories, excuse for the Draft Board) that I don't think I could do this...except as a half-hour on act play." About 200 words.

Condition

Light wear, toning, original folds, Shaw's name written in pen at the top margin of the first page; very good.
