Item Details
Description
**Originally Listed At $350**

Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Periods, ca. 712 to 30 BCE. Three stirrup-shaped, bright blue faience finger rings, each one with a flat face bearing a symbol. Two depict Wedjat, also known as the Eye of Horus (one is more clear in its motif than the other), and the third depicts an ankh, the ancient Egyptian symbol for life and longevity. These ring bezels were made using a clay mold, and demonstrate the level of skill that the ancient Egyptians had attained in working with faience. The clearer Wedjat ring is a US size 4.75; the ankh is a US size 2; the other ring is too small to be worn. Size of largest: 0.8" W (2 cm)

Provenance: private Kahn collection, Bangkok, Thailand
