Large Blue Glazed White Reserved Dragon Meiping, Ming. The well-potted tapering body rising gracefully from a recessed base to round shoulders, surmounted by a short waisted neck with an everted beveled rim, boldly decorated to the exterior in white reserve with a large sinuous dragon chasing a flaming pearl beneath a transparent glaze against a rich cobalt-blue glazed ground, the unglazed foot burnt partially orange in the firing, 17.5 in high.
