Description
Latin America, Mexico, ca. first half of the 20th century CE. An elegant textile shawl comprised of thick, tightly-woven natural cotton fibers in hues of sage, gray, navy, crimson, sapphire, and cream. The central decorative design displays four multi-lobed shapes surrounding a red and gray shape of a similar but larger form. The interior cream-hued section is surrounded by a border of green and red colors, with a pair of geometric bands separating the interior from the fringed exterior border. A beautiful and wearable example! Size: 45.5" W x 34.5" H (115.6 cm x 87.6 cm).
