Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Sumba, ca. early 20th century CE. A charming figural wooden post used as part of the weaving process. The anthropomorphic form matches the shape, with a head topping the piece and incised bands around the lower part giving the impression of clothing. Size: 1.4" W x 10.85" H (3.6 cm x 27.6 cm); 12.5" H (31.8 cm) on included custom stand.
