A tintype of President Abraham Lincoln, c.1864. The oval miniature portrait was issued for the 1864 Presidential race. The image of Lincoln is known as the "Berger Pose" taken by Anthony Berger, February 9th 1864 at Mathew Brady's studio, Washington D.C. "Gem" size measuring 1 inch x 13/16th of an inch. This tintype appears to be the reverse view of the Lincoln portrait on the current United States five-dollar bill. Framed in a gilt metal surround, 1.25" x 1".
