A Chinese Ge porcelain glazed Vase. The body is semi-rectangular bulbous body, elongated neck with slightly waisted to wide opening. Two ear-shaped handles flank the neck. Uniform thickness of applied glaze throughout. Distinctive Ge crackled glaze also known as jinsitiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of the lines that appear in the crackled surface. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the polished exterior.


Mark on base, a six blue underglazed seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark; QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
