A Chinese Celadon glaze Zun porcelain Globular Vase. Large bulbous body fashioned with sheep-head pendants that are placed along the shoulder line. The Ram may represent sacrifice. The ram or sheep is the eight animals in the Chinese calendar. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The whole piece is raised on a disk-shaped foot. The glaze terminates just before the end of the base revealing a dark charred clay. This piece displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the polished exterior.


Mark on base, a six underglaze blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, Made in The Years of QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
