Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong vase. The Chinese porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a tall cylindrical neck, with a straight opening lip, raised on slightly short splayed foot base and slightly concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in Famille jaune, an even coat of a deep yellow glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
